Helping teachers build positive relationships with students through enhancing teacher social and emotional competencies
FuelEd, developed by therapist and researcher, Megan Marcus, focuses on educators as agents for students’ academic, social, and emotional learning. Based on research and theory in social neuroscience, developmental and counseling psychology, FuelEd aims to promote positive teacher-student relationships by strengthening teacher social and emotional competencies. Driven by attachment theory, FuelEd works with teachers to equip them with the skills and knowledge they need to build secure relationships and foster attunement with their students, such as interpersonal skills, self-awareness, and emotional well-being.
FuelEd offerings include 2-hour community workshops, school-based, 6 hour professional development workshops, and a year-long Leadership Institute for training and supporting educational leadership.
